A-Z Challenge 'E': Effect

When referring to effect, it is always the result of something. An effect cannot happen without the cause. The cause is often the primary concern when the effect should be. Effect is often lingering while the cause simply goes away. Hurtful words cause hurt feelings. The feelings being the effect. Those words don't linger, but, my, those feelings do. An SAT score may cause academic doors to open as its effect. Although the tests end, the open door- the effect- may ripple through someone's life infintely. An effect may be joyous one moment & heartbreaking the next or vice versa. Or perhaps, that's a matter of perception. We may perceive something as causing us discomfort, but the effect of the discomfort may be in our long term best interest.
