When Helen needs to rent out her room for a month, she has a specific type of roommate in mind- a quiet, bookworm, and female. Instead, she gets Tiziano- a strapping, Italian from Florence.
Helen tries to be a good hostess. She’s pleasant to him and for the most part, tries to go about her own business. But Tiziano is so unlike her boyfriend. He’s carefree and not the passive type. After they share an impromptu brunch, Helen begins seeing him in a whole new light.
Will Helen find love in the last place she thought she would? Or will Tiziano waltz out of her life as quickly as he danced in?
Merce Cardus has created a unique take on an unexpected romance. Tiziano & Helen are the classic odd couple, but this tale is far from cliché. As the tension between them builds, the storyline could go either way. It did end up surprising me with a little twist. I love surprises.
At an achievable page length, it’s a superb summer read- ideal for a day too hot to play. The characters are strong & play well off each other’s strengths. I appreciated that the content wasn’t overly muddled with scenery & needless dialogue. I’m infatuated enough to deliver an affectionate 5 of 5 stars.
A tastefully written summer romance is hard to find. Enjoy this one!You can find more info here!
