New Week

It’s a new week and so far it’s looking up! Hubs spent every waking moment of this weekend working on his truck. It still had a shake. But, figured out this morning, it’s just the tire. So, problem solved.

            The admin’s web conference actually loaded! Little man was able to participate in an entire half hour conference without issue. Praise God!

            After playing around with my malfunctioning slow cooker, it finally worked. Again, hooray! Pork roast is in without incident.

            The new tree-killing neighbors arrived early. Apparently, they are early birds. Yesterday, we thought we were going to have big time problems with them. While the hubs was under, yes, under the truck, a truck pulled up. They yelled to him (under the truck!) hey, do so and so live here? He replied no. They said, well we were told they owned all this. Really?? Come on, now. Our land is posted-clearly- that it is ours and no trespassing, no turn around, dead end, etc. We’ve had problems with poachers & trespassers before. So to say something so stupid raised red flags. But, I assume it was just some people helping them move who were too busy to notice like 5 large signs. Oh, well.

            The neighbors themselves have yet to say a word to us or even wave. That’s cool. We’re quiet, too. I am praying they’re done killing the trees. We still can’t determine what the heck they even did. Trees are gone, but why?

            Little man had some problems with story problems in math. They can be confusing. But, I wonder how much it was being Monday & how much was a lack of enthusiasm.

            We also began our Social Studies unit of The Constitution & branches of government. I know adults who don’t get it. But we will give it 100%. To be honest, there are still government things I don’t remember. But, with election year this year, it’s a good time to refresh.
