Holiday Gift Guide #2: 2012 Best Gift For Boys Tweens & Teens
NERF & action go hand in hand. None of their toys are made for sitting & playing. Exercise is central. This year, NERF has hit the market with a game made for outside, nighttime play.
Fire Vision from NERF assures that outdoor play won’t end when the sun goes down. Complete with night vision goggles, this football game is like no other game I’ve seen & is sure to please even your hardcore sports nuts. A Green light is for one team & a red light for another are chosen by switching a simple switch on the goggles. Since play is done under cover of darkness, you can see the ball when the reflectors catch the light from the goggles.
The football itself is black with reflectors all around it. The goggles are black & gray. The light weight goggles easily fit the shape of both children & adult heads. A big plus for us was that they also fit easily around glasses. This was vital to us so none of the boys had to sit out of the fun. But, they didn’t interfere with his glasses (which are bulky) either, so he could still see where he was running!
Durability is another plus. Both the goggles & the ball stood up under pressure from 3 rowdy sons & 1 rowdy husband. There may be snow on the ground when they receive it, but, trust me, when the weather breaks, you’ll find them outdoors with this! It will also help with keeping them active once school starts and the time changes again.
NERF toys are generally fairly priced. Most major retailers & toy stores carry the brand, so they won’t be hard to find. If need be, you can always buy them directly from NERF on their website www.nerf.com.
I received one NERF Fire Vision Football set from NERF to do my review. This is part of www.bzzagent.com. No other compensation was provided & I was under no obligation to write either a positive review or even one at all. Any questions regarding the product should be directed to NERF.
