We delved into some serious double digit multiplication. Little man struggled. So, after trying 3 different ways to show him & he still was struggling, I enlisted Dad. Whatever it is he showed him worked. He gets it.
Division isn’t an issue for him right now although it had been his biggest math obstacle. He breezed right through it yesterday. Huzzah! Science is a continuation of ecosystems. Decomposers & producers to be exact. Panama is the subject of art. Beautiful art & no worries about non-Christian representations.
Language Arts has us finishing up ‘Grace & The Time Machine’ which is a play. His vocab words were pretty easy too. His next writing assignment will be about jobs. He has read 4 books for the Book It program. All but one were chapter books. My, how far he’s come. He’s also begun to enjoy reading aloud. He read me ‘Grace’ and I noticed his use of pausing has improved.
Social Studies has us staring vertical time lines. He’s worked with these before. They shouldn’t be a problem.
We are approaching the end of Acts as he is up to Chapter 20. We will most certainly be staring a new book of the Bible before Thanksgiving.
He chose a wolf costume for trick or treating. It’s been rescheduled for Saturday in the wake of Sandy. The costume is neither scary nor terribly complicated. He chose it mostly for the paws it has. He thinks they’re neat looking.
