Due to his back issues, the hubs has
been sleeping on a mattress, on the floor at night, I thought all the extra
sleep would improve his mood, but, alas, I was mistaken.
Little man’s science test went well.
He remembered a whole lot more than I thought he would. After 3 temper issues
over writing essays yesterday, he woke up in a decent mood. We are finishing
‘Letters from Yosemite’ on Thursday. I’m not sure how much of the story is
retained in his brain. He did do the outline, rough draft & final copy of the
essays.
Social Studies has us moving on to
transportation & state history is continuing with Colonial days. I’m
displeased with the art lessons. I let the admin know, too. I won’t teach about
sculptures of gods & goddesses. Instead, I found some great fall crafts
that we’re going to do. There’s just no point to the art lessons they’re
giving. Plus, we will not speak of the occult background in some of this ‘art’.
I don’t care how old or pretty they think they are.
When he chose his silent reading
book, I saw it was 12 chapters. I didn’t realize how long those 12 were. Geez!
They are adult sized chapters. Needless to say, 2 days in and we’re at chapter
3. Amazon had several good free ones listed yesterday. I snagged those up.
Hopefully, they are a little lighter than this one. I don’t want him to get
discouraged.
Best question of the day: Why did
they name Yosemite National Park after Yosemite Sam?
